Our Milestones

The Arab Accreditation Cooperation (ARAC) is one of the main pillars of the Pan Arab quality infrastructure established by the Ministerial Council Resolution of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) in June 2008. Since October 2017, ARAC has been recognized at international level as an independent Regional Accreditation Group by IAF (International Accreditation Forum) and ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation), the two global associations of Accreditation Bodies.
ARAC was launched on June 12, 2011 to be the Arab Cooperation Accreditation Body for the planning, development and coordination of the accreditation infrastructure in the Arab region (22 Arab countries) to support inter / intra Arab trade, improve the competitiveness, provide trust in Arab goods and services and protect health and safety of the public and the environment.
On 19th February 2015 in LAS headquarters, in Cairo, Egypt, the Ministerial Economic and Social Council has recognized ARAC as one of the main pillars of the Pan Arab quality infrastructure in supporting intra-regional trade and the Arab Customs Union requirements.
